You follow the brands, you see the post, you open the shop, and your size is already gone. Or the sale is real, but only for sizes nobody wears. You can't watch every page all day, but a few habits make it far less likely that you miss the pieces you actually want.

1. Write down your size at each brand

Sizes are not the same from one brand to the next. A 38 at one shop can fit like a 40 at another, and one brand's M can be another's S. Keep a short note on your phone with the size you wear at each brand you buy from, for each kind of piece: tops, trousers, dresses, jackets. When a drop goes live, you won't lose minutes, or the last piece, wondering which size to pick.

2. Turn on notifications for a few brands, not all of them

Post notifications for every brand you follow turn into noise you learn to ignore. Pick the three to five brands you buy from most and turn on notifications for those only. For the rest, a quick look once a day is enough.

3. Use "notify me" buttons when a shop has them

Some shop websites offer a "notify me when it's back" button on pieces that are sold out in your size. If you see one, use it: it's the shop itself telling you, instead of you checking back. It costs nothing, and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.

4. Join the brand's own channels

If a brand you love has a newsletter, a WhatsApp broadcast or a Telegram channel, join it. Each is one more way to hear about a new collection or a restock, and some brands share news there that never makes it to their main feed.

5. Know when sales come round

Prices move with the calendar: the official soldes, Ramadan and Eid, and Black Friday. Put the dates in your calendar when they're announced, and decide before the sale starts which pieces you're waiting for and in which size. A sale is only good news if the piece you want is still there in your size, and if the price really dropped compared with what it was before.

6. Check what you already own before you buy

Before you pay, think of what's already in your wardrobe. If you have a piece that looks a lot like the new one, ask whether you would wear both. A few photos of your clothes on your phone make this a ten-second check instead of a guess.

Where Tannya fits

We're building Tannya to do this watching for you: it follows the local brands you choose, remembers your size at each one, and tells you only when something new, back in stock or really cheaper is in your size. It also tells you when you already own something like it. It's at concept stage, and the waitlist gets the first invitations to our pilot in Grand Tunis.
